Well, you said it. Your first word, “mama,” and I’m over the moon.
You smoosh your mouth together to make the “mmm” sound and your little cheeks push up to show your dimples.
Once you get started I hear “mama, my, mmm, mama, mama, mama” as fast as you can get the words out of your little mouth.
The lone tooth comes into view as you smile from ear to ear – you’re so proud.
I swoop you up into my arms and tell you “Mama loves you so much.”
You grab me by both cheeks and pull me close to your face, I think this is the moment you are going to give me “kisses”.
You open that little mouth and close it around my nose, then chomp.
I let out a scream, you laugh and say “mmm, my, mama, mama, mama.”
