Somehow the weekend is over, I’ll be getting ready for bed in a bit & I can’t help but feel sad that it all blew by so fast. Saturday I spent the morning talking about everything under the sun with a good friend over coffee. Then I laid down for what was supposed to be a quick little nap & woke up 3 hours later. I love curling up by the big window in my living room watching it rain all day & that’s pretty much all I did all weekend.
Monday Drive: Top 5
1.) Tomorrow starts my first day of TRIM & there are a million things running through my head. I’m excited, I’m nervous, I’m so thankful that there is a “prep week” first. Basically, I’m all the feels. I’ve been “practicing” this weekend on the nutrition aspect & it’s really pretty awesome. Since Friday, I’ve worked on the 16 hour fast each day, basically I have stopped eating at 8pm each night & started eating again around noon the next day. My stomach already feels pretty awesome!
2.) Pinterest was my jam when it first came out. I would scroll & pin & scroll & pin for hours. Now, there are so many distractions that it’s hard for me to even make my way to Pinterest. But, with some new decorating opportunities, I wanted to get a few ideas, so I logged on today. Pin, pin, pin, pin. I was completely mesmerized for a good hour. Do you still go to Pinterest? What do you look for? I’ve always been big out decorating, crafts or recipes & I’ve definitely found some winners in all three categories. If you’re poking around on Pinterest, check out some of boards. I’m obsessed with jewel tones & plants at the moment.
3.) A Simple Favor with Anna Kendrick & Blake Lively comes out this weekend! If the weather is anything like it is this weekend, I’m buying a ticket & treating myself to all the popcorn & butter I can stand! OOOH WAIT – TRIM, well I’ll buy myself a ticket!!
4.) Has anyone tried the Headspace app? Super inexpensive & it’s really helped with my insomnia. The past two nights I have slept like a baby & gotten the full 8 hours. Tomorrow before my busy week starts, I’m going to try another meditation. I really think that meditation helps ease you into something, whether it be sleep or the work week.
5.) This article warms my heart. Jocelyn Bell Burnell is finally receiving an award for work in Astrophysics over 50 years after Pulsar Discovery.
Let me know what is on your mind this week!
