Today is the last day of 2018. I love the idea of a new year, getting to “reset”. It’s the time of year that we are all encouraged to make positive changes in our lives. Like a lot of people, I have decided to focus on a healthier lifestyle for 2019 & have been researching nutritious foods to incorporate into my diet. If you’re interested in seeing what my plan is, you can check it out here.
For the last Monday Drive of 2018, I wanted to incorporate some highlights of the week. This post has taken a lot of different directions over the year, but has been the most fun to “create”. Maybe this format will stick in the new year or perhaps I’ll come up with a completely different design. I suppose you’ll have to keep reading to find out. 🙂
Weekend Scenes
Can we just talk about binge watching? I’m embarrassed at how much tv time I have had this past weekend. My friend recommended this light comedy called Younger on Hulu. Can’t stop, won’t stop! It reminds me of Hart of Dixie mixed with Gossip Girl mixed with feelings of being 26 again.
Inspiring Me Right Now
Have you heard of Susannah Conway? If it wasn’t for a friend telling me about her I might not have ever found her blog. Missing out on the inspiration from this lady would have been a true loss, so I can’t let that happen to you. I signed up for her Love Letters email & also have taken one of her courses. I love that not only have I learned a great deal, but I’ve also found other blogs to add to my reading list that are equally as inspirational.
On My Nightstand
A bad habit I am trying to break is opening a new book & flipping through before I finish another. To keep me from this, I only keep one (ok three books) on my nightstand. I’m currently reading You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero. Curious of what the other books are? I have my Gratitude Journal & Blog, Inc. which I was recently gifted & I can not quit looking at.
