My List of Whole30 Lifesavers – Food Edition

It’s not easy to stick to a diet as strict as Whole30, but I did it. And you can too. For me, finding Whole30 approved food was a key contributor to my success. I think that sharing these tips will only help others to be successful as well.

Running late & have nothing ready for lunch or breakfast? Convenience is key! Last week, I took pre-made hard-boiled eggs, avocado & Trader Joe’s Everyday Seasoning for a quick egg salad. Think you’ll get hangry before dinner? RX Bars all around! Need an afternoon pick-me-up? Have an apple. When I’m on a trip and can’t eat a whole apple, I like to have trader joes apple slices handy, and I also find that the hard-cooked eggs make a great snack.

Trader Joes

Trader Joes has always been a favorite of mine there’s no denying it. But getting vegetables & meat at Trader Joe’s allowed me to eat healthy and not break the bank. Here are my favorites:

  • Pre-cut apple slices
  • Hard-boiled eggs
  • Rx Bars: Coconut Chocolate, Chocolate Sea Salt & Blueberry
  • Green Beans
  • Brussel Sprouts
  • Tiny Avocados
  • Sparkling Water
  • Dates
  • Lemon Pepper
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Nothing But The Bagel Seasoning
  • Butternut Squash
  • Frozen Salmon
  • Shrimp

Whole Foods

True confession: I am not a fan of visiting a Whole Foods store, but I love their produce, condiments and fresh meat. This is where Instacart comes into play so that I can avoid spending time at the store and still be prepared for the week. (For money off your purchase, use my code: SBUMGARDNER1E2)

  • Primal Kitchen Mayo
  • Primal Kitchen Chipotle LimevMayo
  • Primal Kitchen Dressing
  • Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil
  • Almond Flour
  • Coconut Flour
  • La Croix
  • 365 Cauliflower Rice
  • Hint Water
  • Ghee
  • Salt
  • Nature’s Rancher Bacon

Other

I find really good herbal tea locally but I’m also a sucker for Amazon. Amazon is also actually where I had to find the Arrowroot powder. Mercy what a hard thing to find.

I’d love to keep this as a ‘living document’. Keep me updated on your favorite foods and I’ll add them as a resource for others who want to do Whole30.
