Doing That Whole30 Y’all

My husband and I are on day 18 or 19 (we’ve lost count, because it’s really no big deal) of Whole30. This is my third time and the first time for him. He has always been the one to say “I just count calories” when he wants to lose weight. This time he realized that it’s not about losing weight as much as it is about feeling good, eliminating crappy foods from our diet and being able to enjoy the summer’s yummy veggies without being loaded with butter.

I’ve found several people on Instagram that I follow, because they have healthy, Whole30 recipes do not disappoint! I may add or modify a bit, but generally I stick to it. Below are the big recipes (and links) we tried this past week and loved!

Breakfast:

Chicken Sausage Breakfast Casserole The Whole Cook

Notes: We had enough to have this as our daily breakfast til Friday morning

Lunch:

Grilled Greek Inspired Marinated Chicken The Defined Dish

Notes: Grilling the chicken on Sunday was great and I made a big salad to serve with it using the lettuces from our Papa Spud’s produce box.

Dinner:

Sausage and Veggie Bowls with Easy Mustard Sauce – The Whole Cook
Korean Inspired Ground Beef and Kimchi Bowl – The Defined Dish
Chicken & Sausage Gumbo – The Defined Dish
Whole30 Kung Pao Chicken – Healthy Little Peach

I’d love to hear what you think about these Whole30 recipes or if you’ve found any that have blown your socks off. Also, if you haven’t already, getting The Defined Dish cookbook will make your life better, trust me. Whole30 or not, it will just make you look like you are a rockstar!
